題木蘭廟 唐.杜牧
“Poem on
Muk Lan Temple” By To Muk(803-852), Tang Dynasty
彎弓征戰作男兒,夢裡曾經與畫眉。
幾度思歸還把酒,拂雲堆上祝明妃。
Bends bow fighting war bravely like a man,
Dreams about brushing eyebrows
then and still.
Thinking home return many
times, but can only forget this in a drink,
The heart is like Lady Ming at
the top of Whisk Cloud Hill.
Lady Ming is one of the four beautiful ladies in the Chinese history. It was said she was so beautiful that the goose flying up the sky will stop and look at this exceptional beauty. She was sent to a remote country beyond the North frontier for marriage so that the remote will make peace with the Han Dynasty then.
回覆刪除Another saying is that the flying goose will forget to fly and drop down once seeing the beauty! (I prefer this metaphor!)
