宋.李清照-聲聲慢
Poetry tune
with “Sing sing slow” by Li Qing Zhao(1084-1155), Sung Dynasty.
Translated
by Alan Ma, July 9, 2014.
Search,
search, seek, seek, cold, cold, lonely, lonely,
Miserable,
miserable, tragic, tragic, worry, worry!
At this
time it seems warm but really it is still cold,
Find it
very difficult to handle.
Two or
three cups of clear wine,
How to
fight the gusted wind in the night and still doing fine.
Geese fly passing
by, many a heart breaks,
Alas, they are
acquaintances from those were the days.
Withered
flowers pile up all around,
They are
worn and out and if now nobody picks them up, one wouldn’t feel astound.
Lean
against the window,
How to get
rid of loneliness before dark evening will show.
Drizzle keeps striking the tall Phoenix tree till
sunset,
Rain drops make
noise pouring wet.
In such a
situation,
How can a
single ‘sorrow’ word explain all the emotion!

translation-
My senior schoolmate, Sam Ip has been so kind to render his version as below:
回覆刪除Sounds slow
Searching and seek, cold, cool and sad.
Feeling the sudden warm but still cold that hard to rest and set.
Hard to suffer the night wind with two three glass of clear wine that I hold.
I'm so sad with the wild goose just flied away.
Looks like the scene with an old friend that I told.
Yellow flowers pile up on the earth, a sorrowful look that I guess who pick it and hold.
Standing next to the window, so lonely in the dark to show.
Wutoon ( the name of a tree) under little raining till the evening with drops and dot.
Feeling sorrow in this time what I told.
