         寒雨連江夜入吳，平明送客楚山孤。

        洛陽親友如相問，一片冰心在玉壺。

 

Torrential rain flooding the River, I arrived at Wu in a chilly wind night,

I see a solitary Chu Hill when at dawn I bid to my friend adieu.

If friends or acquaintances at the Capital ask about me,

I’m still like a noble heart containing in a crystal clear bottle!
