This version was an old rendition of the same poetry that I did in January, 2014, seven months ago.
Reviewing it at this point, there is still rooms to improve. The July version is immediately following this one.
李煜 Li Yu: 虞美人 Yu Mei Ren (Lady Yu)
春花秋月何時了,往事知多少,
小樓昨夜又東風,故國不堪回首月明中,
雕欄玉砌應猶在,只是朱颜改,
問君能有幾多愁,恰似一江春水向東流!
Spring blossoms, Autumn moons, when will all these last?
In my mind, A lot of things have gone past!
In my little chamber last night, Easterly wind was blowing once again,
In the bright moon, I dare not to recall my home country but cannot refrain.
The carved railings, white marble corridors, should still be there,
It is just the owner’s face changed, that I don’t care!
How much sorrow can one have, in a man’s life that concern?
It’s just like the flooding Spring river, Ever heading East sea of no return!
