兩個黃鸝鳴翠柳，一行白鷺上青天。

窗含西嶺千秋雪，門泊東吳萬里船。​

Two Orioles sing gaily on the green willow tree,

One group of egrets fly sky high in a single file.

 Off the window, West mountain covered by snow of thousand Autumns,

Outside the door, East Wu ships mooring continued many a thousand mile.

少小離家老大回，鄉音無改鬢毛衰。

I was very young leaving home and not return until old,

My native tongue has not changed,but my hairs all white become. white.

Meeting children yet they don’t know me,

They greet and ask where I’m from?

鋤禾日當午，汗滴禾下土。

誰知盤中餐，粒粒皆辛苦。​

 

To hoe grain doesn’t matter sun is high at noon,

Sweat keeps falling to grain until touching ground.

Does everybody know the grains on the plate of daily meals,

 

Each grain means hard work cannot be count!

枯藤老樹昏鴉。小橋流水人家。

古道西風瘦馬。

Withered vines, old tree, faint crow,

Tiny bridge, running stream, people and house,

Ancient footpath, Westerly wind, skinny horse.

Sun is sinking West and can never catch,

A heart broken man stumbles towards the sky edge.

         寒雨連江夜入吳，平明送客楚山孤。

        洛陽親友如相問，一片冰心在玉壺。

 

Torrential rain flooding the River, I arrived at Wu in a chilly wind night,

I see a solitary Chu Hill when at dawn I bid to my friend adieu.

If friends or acquaintances at the Capital ask about me,

I’m still like a noble heart containing in a crystal clear bottle!

“Yellow Crane Tower” by Tsui Hou, Tang Dynasty

 

     昔人已乘黃鶴去，此地空餘黃鶴樓。

 　　黃鶴一去不復返，白雲千載空悠悠。

 　　晴川歷歷漢陽樹，芳草萋萋鸚鵡洲。

 　　日暮鄉關何處是？煙波江上使人愁。

Fairy had gone riding on the yellow crane,

What is left here is an empty Yellow Crane Tower.

Yellow crane would never return and forever gone,

Clouds are still floating leisurely for many a thousand year.

Hanyang trees on opposite shore is as clear as the sky,

Grass grows lushly at the Parrot Island seems near.

Where is my home town in the rouge sunset?

People feels home sick seeing misty wave on the River!

鳳凰臺上鳳凰遊， 鳳去台空江自流。 昔人已乘黃鶴去，此地空餘黃鶴樓。

吳宮花草埋幽徑， 晉代衣冠成古丘。 黃鶴一去不復返，白雲千載空悠悠。

三山半落青天外， 一水中分白鷺洲。 晴川歷歷漢陽樹，芳草萋萋鸚鵡洲。

總為浮雲能蔽日， 長安不見使人愁。 日暮鄉關何處是？煙波江上使人愁。

　　

Phoenix once flown in full fledge on this Phoenix Terrace,

Phoenix now gone Terrace empty but the River still continued its course.

Prosperous Wu Palace now buried in a deserted lane of wild flower and grass,

Become part of the mountain are the Jin Dynasty heroes of prominence once.

Three mountain peaks seems hanging in the air at the sky beyond,

Egret Islet in the middle of the water, dividing the River it seems.

I worry about floating clouds keep blocking out the sun,

 Not able to see the Capital frequently brings people lots of sorrows.

孟浩然的《春曉》

”Dawn breaks at Spring” by Meng Hou Ren, Tang Dynasty.

 

春眠不覺曉，處處聞啼鳥。

夜來風雨聲，花落知多少。

Spring sleep so sweet and dawn too soon breaks,

I can hear birds singing in places of all.

Wind and rain kept hitting noisily last night,

Who knows how many flowers wither and fall!

早歲哪知世事艱，中原北望氣如山。        世味年來薄似紗，誰令騎馬客京華？

樓船夜雪瓜洲渡，鐵馬秋風大散關。        小樓一夜聽春雨，深巷明朝賣杏花。

塞上長城空自許，鏡中衰鬢已先斑。        矮紙斜行閑作草，晴窗細乳戲分茶。

出師一表真名世，千載誰堪伯仲間！        素衣莫起風塵歎，猶及清明可家。

 

 

I was too young to understand that World affairs are tough,

Every time I gaze North, my determination to regain lost land is like mountain firm and keen.

At Guazhou pier, on a double-decker boat I help train navy in a snow night,

In Dashen Frontier,I dressed in armour I gallop in battle field to brave the Autumn wind.

I vow to be the Great Wall of the frontier to keep enemies out but too ambitious it seem,

 I look into the mirror only to find I’m old and gray hair already seen.

Dispatch Army Petition is really World renown,

In thousand years, who can overtake this one and win?

 世味年來薄似紗，誰令騎馬客京華？

小樓一夜聽春雨，深巷明朝賣杏花。

 矮紙斜行閑作草，晴窗細乳戲分茶。

素衣莫起風塵歎，猶及清明可到家。

 

Over the years, people relations are thin like yarn,

Who will invite me as guest to Capital on a horse riding?

In my little chamber, I listened to rhythum of the rain in Spring all night,

In deep alley at dawn hear apricot flower selling.

Paper idly lying, I write cursive caligraphy in the leisure,

Sky is clear outside window, amuse to find bubbles, fragrance rise from the tea boiling.

Dressing in white, don’t sigh if made dirty by wind and dust,

It’s better go home in time to catch the Festival Ching Ming.

李商隱《風雨》詩詞

“Wind and rain” by Li Sheung In, Tang Dynasty

 淒涼寶劍篇，羈泊欲窮年。

 黃葉仍風雨，青樓自管弦。

 新知遭薄俗，舊好隔良緣。

 心斷新豐酒，銷愁斗幾千？

Reading the Precious Sword Poem makes me tragically sad,

Wandering year round I hope all will soon turn right.

Yellow leaves wither and fall in the wind and rain,

People plays flute and string in the brothel day and night.

New friendship is thin and lasting rare,

Old intimates are distant and seen frequently not quite.

A broken heart has no expectation for the new wine,

Spending thousand gold on wine to kill sadness, I’ll do when I like.

 

嫦 娥 – 唐.李商隱

“Chang E(Fairy at the moon) ” By Li Sheung In(813-858), Tang Dynasty

 

　　雲母屏風燭影深， 長河漸落曉星沉。

 　　嫦娥應悔偷靈藥， 碧海青天夜夜心。

 

Shadow on the jade stone screen deeply casted by candle light,

Galaxy gradually drops and star sinks at dawn out of sight.

Moon fairy should regret for stealing the everliving medicine,

And face green sea blue sky with a lonely heart each night.

 

題木蘭廟  唐.杜牧

“Poem on Muk Lan Temple” By To Muk(803-852), Tang Dynasty

 彎弓征戰作男兒，夢裡曾經與畫眉。

 幾度思歸還把酒，拂雲堆上祝明妃。

 

Bends bow fighting war bravely like a man,

Dreams about brushing eyebrows then and still.

Thinking home return many times, but can only forget this in a drink,

The heart is like Lady Ming at the top of Whisk Cloud Hill.

 

過零丁洋  作者：文天祥

 A poem “Crossing the Deserted Lonely Ocean(Ling Ding Ocean)” by Won Tian Zheung(1236-1283), Sung Dynasty

 辛苦遭逢起一經，干戈寥落四周星。

 山河破碎風飄絮，身世浮沉雨打萍。

 惶恐灘頭說惶恐，零丁洋裡歎零丁。

 人生自古誰無死？留取丹心照汗青。

All these mishaps started from passing the imperial test, I recall,

Four years have elapsed with wars here rise and there fall.

This catastrophic country just like swaying willows can’t stand the gusted wind,

Myself rise or sink just like the showers ruthlessly pounding the Duckweed.  

Anxious Fear Beach reminds me of the miserable battle with anxious and fear,

Crossing the Deserted Lonely Ocean, I sigh on being a deserted lonely captive here. 

In life since old days, who does not die some how?

It’s iportant to remain a loyal heart to brighten the history from now!

《浣溪沙》清·納蘭性德
A Poetry with tune "Wash silk cloth in a streem" by Na Lan Xing De of Qing Dynasty

 

誰念西風獨自涼，蕭蕭黃葉閉疏窗，

沉思往事立殘陽。

被酒莫驚春睡重，賭書消得潑茶香，

當時只道是尋常。

 

Who would still think of lonely me in the chilly West wind?

Yellow leaves fly high blocking noisily the carved window,

Immersed in meditation of the past, I stand in the setting sun of gold.

 

I used to drink and take a leisure nap in Spring,

We competed on memory of books to win the first fine tea drink,

I thought all these then were a common daily thing.

1.上邪！         Oh, Heavens above!

 

2.我欲與君相知， To make bosom friends, I want we,

3.長命無絕衰。   Life long that never diminish is my passion for thee..

 

4.山無陵，        Till mountains subside,

5.江水為竭，      Till rivers run dry!

 

6.冬雷震震，       Till thunder storms in Winter,

7.夏雨雪，         Till snow flickers in Summer!

 

8.天地合，         Till the earth and sky fuse in front of me,

9.乃敢與君絕！     Then I will dare to part with thee!
