A poem by Li Yu, Tang Dynasty(For Chinese original version - see below)

River South, River North, alas! my old home town,
Three decades gone by, it’s all but a dream.

Wu gardens, grand palacess, are now some abandoned places,
Guangling terrace and pillars have been an deserted land ever since.

Clouds casting over distant hills stirs up a thousand sorrows,
Rain strikes on home-bound boats creating a scene of ten thousand tear lines.

Brothers four of us, and three hundred followers,
How can we tolerate sitting idle and concentrate our minds.
